BONDURANT, Ia. — The Bondurant-Farrar football team relied on its defense to come up with big play after big play to keep ADM out of the end zone as it clung to a 7-point lead in the second half of Friday night’s game.
Titus Cram came up with the biggest play of them all.
Cram’s interception late in the fourth quarter stopped ADM’s final drive and last comeback attempt of the night and helped the host Blue Jays secure a 14-7 win Friday night in the first round of the Class 3A football playoffs.
“It was amazing,” Cram said of his pick. “All I saw was two hands go up and the next thing I knew, I had the ball and I saw a whole bunch of white jerseys coming at me.”
Cram, who returned it for a touchdown, watched his trip to the end zone get wiped away thanks to a personal foul call on the Blue Jays. But the most important play was the pick which gave the Blue Jays the ball back and allowed them to run out the clock.
