ESCANABA — Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District (DSISD) said it has decided to extend the closure of our Learning Center program through Friday, Oct. 9 , out of an abundance of caution.
“We feel it is appropriate due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in Delta County, to extend our closure to monitor our student’s health, and provide more time for staff and students to complete their quarantine requirements,” officials said.
The Learning Center program will move to virtual instruction today. Families will be contacted by our instructional staff using a variety of digital tools. The Learning Center plans to move back to in-person instruction on Monday, Oct. 12. More information on the reopening of the Learning Center for in-person instruction will be released on Oct. 9.
All of DSISD’s Career and Technical Education programs, general education and special education support services remain open. This move to virtual instruction only affects the students attending the Learning Center.
