QUINCY (WGEM) — Blessing Health System is managing two COVID-19 situations and possible exposure to patients, staff, and children at Blessing Early Learning Center, according to an email sent to parents.
In an email sent Wednesday to parents of children who attend Blessing Early Learning Center, Blessing officials state that they are managing two COVID-19 situations.
In the first situation, Blessing wrote that an employee had tested positive with COVID-19 and would be quarantined for 14 days. Blessing officials stated they are tracing potential exposures between this employee, patients, and other staff.
In the second situation, the email said two children of the Blessing Early Learning Center had been exposed to an individual who tested positive. Blessing is notifying the parents of students and staff members with potential exposure to the two children involved.
Blessing stated that the Adams County Health Department was working to identify anyone who has been in close contact with the employee and plans to follow up with individuals directly to advise them of potential exposure.
Blessing officials did not return multiple messages left Friday by WGEM News.
Adams County Public Health officials have provided no further information.
