MILLSBORO, Del. – As the Millsboro area continues to grow, one early learning facility is almost doubling its capacity to meet the needs of families.
The owners of Gigglebugs have been approved to add a new 7,700 square foot building next to their current facility on 213 West State Street. They say this will allow them to serve about 100 more children ages two months through 5th grade. The new addition also means more jobs because they plan to hire 15 to 20 staff members.
“Now those parents are able to go be professionals in our community and bring value to our community so without the early learning industry, the ability to provide those services to working families, it’s very hard to attract businesses to your community,” says Rich Spinks, the owner of Gigglebugs.
The facility will also have an almost 9,000 square foot outdoor playground where they hope to host youth and adult recreation leagues. Spinks says the current pandemic has pushed their completion date back to September 2021.
